Job Description:
The His Caring Place Assistant will support the home by monitoring the residents in the home and will supervise residents during evening hours.
Job Specifications:
Be a team member in seeing that the philosophy, purpose, and objectives of the house are being implemented with each young woman.
Be a supportive, loving friend to each of the young women living in the home while maintaining a professional distance.
Be encouraging and help each young woman to learn to live with and adjust to the demands and blessings of the large HCP family.
Be a team member to see that all rules and disciplines of the House are followed.
Maintain an attitude that promotes availability to the residents.
Assist young women with homework or Bible studies, as needed.
Run errands (grocery store, etc.
), as needed.
Greet guests who come to the House and give house tours, as needed.
Be on call at all times to provide coverage for the home.
Be able to set an example of a Christian woman.
Assist in teaching and coordinating classes and activities.
Assist in planning activities and outings.
Attend staff meetings and special functions.
Displays and monitors sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Keep up and maintain daily home maintenance schedule.
Displays and monitors sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Participates in ongoing Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) activities, as needed.
At a minimum on a daily basis, reviews and responds professionally to internal/external email communication(s).
Maintains highest ethical standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent Have had experience involving the supervision of a group of teenagers, or experience of a practical nature working with youth Be qualified on the basis of personal character to work with the young women and children and have the ability to serve as part of a team Strong interpersonal skills Organizational ability Two year's experience working with women and children in a residential setting preferred.
Possession of a valid driver's license with no more than 3 points on your driving record In her attitude concerning unplanned pregnancy, the Assistant should have a neutral stance on adoption vs.
parenting, but must have a pro-life belief Must successfully complete initial drug screening Must successfully complete annual background screenings Quick Apply.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
