5K a year About this Position HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our team in Pompano Beach, FL.
HCA is an industry leading manufacturer of high-tech precision compressor valves and components used across the energy industry.
HCA operates with 100 CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders), an injection molding plant, and 20
robots.
The Buyer/Planner is responsible for procurement and order management of specified direct materials and indirect materials.
In addition, the position plans, coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments.
This combination Buyer/Planner position supports the Polymer and Rings & Packing Segment of the manufacturing plant.
Main Responsibilities Extract and analyze production data in MRP system to support decision-making.
Issue and monitor production orders for stock, order fulfillment and transfers.
Monitor Production data and take necessary actions to increase production capabilities or initiate necessary schedule changes.
Develop and maintain purchasing and material master parameters for assigned commodities.
Extract and analyze purchase and usage data in MRP system to support decision-making activities.
Monitor inventory levels for assigned commodities; execute and monitor purchases on a timely basis for assigned commodities to support on-going production efforts.
Proactively manage material deliveries as required to support production and customer needs.
Maintain and monitor supplier metrics to monitor delivery and quality performance.
Monitor and ensure compliance with proper MRP/ERP transactional discipline for the purchasing functions.
Maintain MRP/ERP Source List, Information Records and Material Master Settings Resolve invoice issues.
Coordinate defective or early receipt material; assist Receiving with missing or incomplete supplier paperwork.
Qualifications Two years' experience in procurement and/or production planning in a related manufacturing environment (preferably machining)preferred.
Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel and minimum two years' experience utilizing a comprehensive MRP/ERP system (SAP highly preferred).
Associate degree in related field such as supply chain management, business, manufacturing management, engineering (or equivalent additional experience) Excellent business communication skills (verbal, written), able to present information clearly and accurately through email, text, chat, call, and video meeting.
Ability to resolve problems, manage time, organize, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, work with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to effectively engage with all stakeholders.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, hear, speak, view processes and surrounding environment, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
