To supply a visual presentation of our community news report, accurately portraying our stories and cover shots through photojournalism.
Produce several images a day, reflecting various news events and aspects of the community
Write punchy, accurate cutlines that comply with AP Style guidelines
Work a flexible shift, including some nights and weekends
Cover two to three assignments each day
Work closely with editors and reporters under the direction of the director of photography
Work on other special projects and assignments as required
Meet all deadlines and execute all assignments in a professional manner, including appearance, conduct and punctuality.
Drive to and from assignments, often spanning three counties
Must have a degree in photojournalism or at least one year shooting experience for a newspaper
Must be able to shoot images using a professional digital SLR camera and lenses
Must be able to consistently produce professional quality image under varied lighting conditions
Must be proficient is off-camera flash lighting with a knowledge of studio lighting techniques
Must be able to color correct in PhotoShop
Self-starter, creative thinker and aggressive shooter
Strong enterprise skills and ability to work independently

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
