Sun Sentinel/Forum Publishing Group is seeking a sales representative to join our team!

Sell advertising space to new clients and assist them in meeting their advertising needs utilizing our weekly and monthly publications.

Responsibilities:
Achieve assigned revenue budget
Sell advertising space to new clients.
Ability to visit customers in person as necessary.
Effectively service existing customers.
Must make minimum 20 calls per week.
Minimum Performance Standard: after 1 full year (12 months) of handling the same territory/category/open territory/area, rep is required to average monthly a minimum of 20 accounts per week.
Accurately design ads for production.
Maintain positive credit status through collections.
Attend weekly sales meetings.
Must contact office in person or by telephone twice daily.
Responsible for turning in advertising orders, contracts and checks in timely manner.
Responsible for proofing all ads.
Must be accurate with cash and check handling.
Must be professional in communication style and appearance.
Must be customer service focused.
Will attend trade shows, fairs and other community events representing FPG as requested.
Must be customer service focused and make decisions that are in the best interest of the customer
Be available for management field rides

Qualifications:
Previous sales experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to create and present sales proposals to customers
A working knowledge of PC based programs such as Excel, and Word
A positive, assertive and outgoing demeanor
Professional appearance
Ability to work in a fast paced environment are essential
