Job Description
The Recruiter will attend and source talent at on-base / off-base job fairs and onsite focused hiring events, to identify, screen, capture candidate information and sell the First Data value proposition with the goal of meeting our hiring goals.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain relationships with Career and Family Readiness Centers for 6-8 assigned local bases and veteran friendly campuses to identify talent to meet the hiring profiles
Identify local events and activities to attract top military candidates
Develops and manages on base / off base and in house events for First Data within a defined geographic area
Facilitate the scheduling of interviews with First Data hiring leaders, Veterans and Military Spouses
Partners with Research team to identify military candidates at specific bases, colleges and job fairs
Conducts pre-screening of candidates and identifies candidates for hiring teams
Fill operations and other high volume jobs using a class or cohort approach, timed to training class schedules
Oversees and ensures an exceptional military family candidate experience
Candidate Requirements
Minimum of 1-3 years of recruiting or equivalent military experience
Ability and willingness to be on the road. 50% travel required
Ability to connect with and recruit Veterans, Guard and Reserve, Military Spouses and transitioning Servicemembers from bases, job fairs, internal hiring events and colleges/universities/junior colleges
Demonstrated ability to deliver results
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to plan for and meet hiring demand for specified classes or roles
Ability to sell the First Data value proposition to students
Ability to build rapport with key base points of contact and staff
Superb communication skills and sales aptitude/background.
Excellent presentational speaking skills.
Ability to quickly identify talent that would fit the First Data culture
Ability to present candidates to hiring teams
Business Acumen and understanding of career options at First Data
Ability to evaluate return on investment (ROI)
Associate's/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent military experience
Veterans, Guard and Reserve, Military Spouses and transitioning Servicemembers encouraged to apply
