Vehicle Description 1966 Shelby GT350 Convertible Tribute.
Newly restored and recreated 1966 Mustang Convertible as the most desirable 1966 Shelby GT350 Convertible.
One of four convertibles produced in 1966 by Carrol Shelby as a proto-type for the up coming 1967 body changes.
The Convertibles came in four colors.
Candy Apple Red, Ivy Green, Pale Yellow and Sapphire Blue.
They all were equipped the same as the Fast Back, 289 Hi Po with 306 HP.
Two of the Convertible were produced with automatic transmissions, The Ivy Green and the Sapphire Blue.
The Candy Apple red and the the Pale Yellow both had four speed manual transmissions.
All four had Air Conditioning, White Vinyl tops.
The '65 & '66 Shelby's all came with the rocker panel GT350 stripe in GM White or Sapphire Blue.
The Rallye (Le Mans)Stripes were options mostly applied by the dealers.
The exception was the Ivy Green Hurst Rent-A-Racers, proto-type with Gold rocker and Rallye stripes.
1966 standard wheels were the Magnum 500 steel wheels.
Alloy wheel options were the 5 spoke 15 Cargar wheel later replaced by the Legendary 14 10 spoke wheels due to tire rubbing issues.
